Hello, I am Erin McCarthy Holliday.
Writer, athlete, cycle instructor and home renovation warrior with a heart of Pittsburgh gold.
I studied journalism at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, and earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law while teaching fitness, writing, and renovating houses part-time.
Over the course of my personal, professional, and academic life, I have cultivated a passion for policy and advocacy, an insatiable commitment to fighting for justice, and a deep-rooted calling to fight for the opportunity of others. After four years as a professional writer and journalist, these things led me to law school in 2017.
And I’m still writing. My mission remains to help my clients find their voice through storytelling. In this niche, I quickly learn that this kind of work is a unique yet refreshing asset in a noisy industry. I spend as much of my time researching as writing—conducting in-depth interviews, reviewing journal articles and current research on particular subjects, and studying my client to best understand their perspectives, passions, problems and how to solve them.
I can prove my hard work through awards, projects, and triathlon medals, but I’d rather you just talk to the people who know me as a writer. For references, call or email, and I’ll point you to people who will say nice things about me.
We also have a home renovation blog: chrisanderinrenowarriors.wordpress.com.
In the end, there is only one way to write well: from the heart.
