Hello, I am Erin McCarthy Holliday.
Writer, athlete, cycle instructor and home renovation warrior with a heart of Pittsburgh gold.
I studied journalism at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, and I am now a JD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
For the past four years, I have been copywriting in mostly the higher education space. I’ve found it to be a creative stretch — inherently journalistic, reflective, and strengthening to me as both a writer and a person.
I am originally from Columbus, Ohio, which you will likely know within five minutes of meeting me (case, point.) I have a Great Pyrenees named Pete, and 10,000+ bee pals. I like run-on sentences, stream of consciousness, and fragments. Oh, how I love me a fragment. When appropriate of course. And starting sentences with conjunctions.
I can prove my hard work through awards, projects, and triathlon/marathon medals, but I’d rather you just talk to the people who know me as a writer. For references, call or email, and I’ll point you to people who will say nice things about me.
In the end, there is only one way to write well: from the heart.
Some things I can help you with:
- Information architecture
- Web, digital, video copywriting
- Etc., just ask!
